“A Message to all the Incredible Teachers Wrapping Up Another School Year and Preparing for a Well-Deserved Summer Break”
Dear Teachers,
Before You Start Planning Next Year, Take Time to Recover From This One!
The desks are almost empty. The report cards are almost submitted. The final bell will soon ring!
However, many teachers are already thinking about next year!
Before you start organizing lesson plans, rearranging classroom layouts, or making your September to-do list, consider giving yourself something you've spent the entire year giving to others: care, compassion, and space to breathe. Take some time to just pause and think about the past school year.
Teaching is more than a profession—it's an emotional investment. Throughout the year, you celebrate victories, navigate challenges, support struggling students, manage expectations, and carry responsibilities that extend far beyond the classroom walls. By June, it's not uncommon to feel physically drained, emotionally depleted, and ready for a reset.
From an Emotion Code® and Body Code® perspective, the stress, frustration, worry, and overwhelm we experience don't simply disappear when summer begins. Sometimes, those emotional experiences can remain with us as trapped emotions or energetic imbalances, influencing how we feel long after the school year ends.
Summer offers a powerful opportunity to release what you've been carrying.
What if, before planning for next year, you took time to:
✨ Let go of the stress that no longer serves you
✨ Release feelings of overwhelm or self-doubt
✨ Reconnect with your own needs and priorities
✨ Restore balance in your mind, body, and energy
Imagine entering September not just with fresh lesson plans, but with renewed energy, greater clarity, and a lighter heart.
The classroom will be waiting when you're ready. For now, give yourself permission to pause, reflect, heal, and recharge.
One of the best gifts you can bring to your students next year is a well-cared-for you. 💛
As you bring this school year to a close, take a moment to reflect on all you have achieved and enjoy the fruits of your labour. Share some laughter, create lasting memories with your students, and celebrate the impact you’ve made. May the summer months provide you with the time and space to rest, recover, and return refreshed and renewed in September.
PZ 💛
